Refund & Cancellation Policy

Effective Date: 15th September 2026

This Refund & Cancellation Policy explains the circumstances in which customers may request a refund, cancellation, or other payment-related remedy for courses and educational services purchased through Digitality Academy.

Digitality Academy is an education and digital learning platform operated by Digitality.

This Policy forms part of the Digitality Academy Terms & Conditions. By purchasing a course or other paid service from Digitality Academy, you acknowledge that you have read and accepted this Policy.

1. General Refund Policy

Digitality Academy offers different types of courses and learning products with different durations, formats, access periods, and commercial terms.

Unless a specific course page, promotional offer, written agreement, or applicable law expressly provides otherwise, refunds will be governed by this Policy.

Digitality Academy reserves the right to determine whether a particular purchase qualifies for a refund based on the eligibility requirements set out below, subject always to applicable law.

2. Course Duration and Refund Eligibility

For the purposes of this Policy, courses are generally divided into the following categories:

  • Courses with an access period of 3 months or less: Voluntary refunds are generally not available after purchase, except where required by applicable law or where Digitality Academy expressly approves an exception.
  • Courses with an access period of more than 3 months: Certain eligible courses may offer a 7-day refund period, subject to the eligibility conditions described in this Policy.

The availability of a 7-day refund period will be clearly indicated on the relevant course sales page or purchase terms where applicable.

Not every course is required to carry a 7-day refund option. Customers should review the refund terms displayed on the relevant course page before completing a purchase.

3. Seven-Day Refund Policy

Where a course is expressly identified as eligible for the 7-day refund policy, a customer may request a refund within 7 calendar days from the date of purchase, provided that all applicable refund conditions are satisfied.

The 7-day period begins from the date on which the purchase is successfully completed and payment is received.

A refund request submitted after the expiry of the applicable 7-day period will generally not qualify for a voluntary refund, except where required by applicable law or approved by Digitality Academy on an exceptional basis.

4. Refund Eligibility Conditions

To qualify for a refund under the 7-day refund policy, all of the following conditions must generally be satisfied:

  • The refund request must be submitted within 7 calendar days of purchase.
  • The customer’s overall course progress must be below 10%.
  • The customer must not have downloaded course materials that are provided for download.
  • The customer must not have downloaded a certificate, where a certificate is available.
  • The customer must not have substantially completed the course or a substantial portion of its learning activities.
  • The customer must not have completed any quiz, test, assessment, examination, or other structured evaluation where completion of that activity is treated by Digitality Academy as evidence of meaningful course consumption.
  • The account must not have been used in violation of the Terms & Conditions or other applicable Digitality Academy policies.
  • The refund request must not be fraudulent, abusive, manipulative, or otherwise made in bad faith.

Digitality Academy may use information recorded by its learning management system and other platform systems to determine course progress and eligibility.

5. How Course Progress Is Calculated

For the purposes of this Policy, course progress may include, without limitation:

  • Lessons or modules viewed or completed;
  • Video content watched;
  • Audio or other learning materials accessed;
  • Quizzes completed;
  • Tests or assessments attempted or completed;
  • Assignments submitted;
  • Other structured learning activities recorded by the platform.

Digitality Academy may consider the overall learning activity associated with an account when determining whether the 10% progress threshold has been exceeded.

6. Downloaded Materials

Where downloadable course materials are provided, a customer who has downloaded such materials may become ineligible for a voluntary refund because the customer may retain access to a copy of the purchased educational material outside the platform.

This may include, without limitation:

  • PDF files;
  • Workbooks;
  • Templates;
  • Course notes;
  • Digital resources;
  • Other downloadable educational materials.

7. Certificates and Refunds

Where a course provides a certificate of completion, downloading or obtaining the certificate may make the purchase ineligible for a voluntary refund.

A certificate may be treated as evidence that the customer has substantially engaged with or completed the relevant course.

8. Quiz, Test and Assessment Completion

If a customer completes a quiz, test, examination, assessment, assignment, or other structured evaluation associated with a course, Digitality Academy may treat the course as having been meaningfully consumed.

Accordingly, completion of such activities may make the customer ineligible for a voluntary refund, even if the overall percentage of lessons viewed appears to be below 10%.

9. Refund Requests

Refund requests must be submitted to:

Email: academy@digitality.co.in

The refund request should include sufficient information to identify the purchase, such as:

  • Customer name;
  • Email address associated with the Digitality Academy account;
  • Course name;
  • Date of purchase;
  • Order or transaction ID, if available;
  • Reason for the refund request, where requested.

Digitality Academy may request additional information reasonably necessary to verify the purchase and determine refund eligibility.

10. Refund Review Process

Upon receiving a refund request, Digitality Academy may review the customer’s purchase information, account activity, course progress, downloads, assessments, certificate activity, payment records, and other relevant information.

Digitality Academy may approve, partially approve, or reject a refund request based on the applicable refund terms and the circumstances of the purchase, subject to applicable law.

Where a refund request does not satisfy the conditions of this Policy, Digitality Academy may provide the customer with the reason for the decision where reasonably appropriate.

11. No-Questions-Asked Refunds Where Expressly Offered

Where a particular course is expressly advertised as offering a 7-day “no-questions-asked” refund, Digitality Academy intends to provide the refund without requiring the customer to establish dissatisfaction with the course, provided the customer satisfies the objective eligibility requirements contained in this Policy.

Digitality Academy may request optional feedback to improve its courses and services. Providing such feedback will not ordinarily be a condition for receiving an otherwise eligible refund.

12. Courses Not Eligible for Voluntary Refunds

Unless otherwise stated on the relevant course page or required by applicable law, voluntary refunds are generally not available for:

  • Courses with an access period of 3 months or less;
  • Courses specifically marked as non-refundable;
  • Purchases where the applicable refund period has expired;
  • Purchases where the customer has exceeded the permitted course progress threshold;
  • Purchases where downloadable course materials have been downloaded;
  • Purchases where a certificate has been downloaded or obtained;
  • Purchases where applicable quizzes, tests, assessments, or other structured learning activities have been completed;
  • Purchases involving account sharing, misuse, fraud, abuse, or violation of Digitality Academy policies.

Nothing in this section is intended to exclude or restrict any refund, cancellation, remedy, or consumer right that cannot lawfully be excluded or restricted.

13. Refunds Due to Course Cancellation or Removal

Digitality Academy may, in certain circumstances, discontinue, suspend, remove, or materially modify a course.

If Digitality Academy permanently removes a course and the customer is materially deprived of the purchased access or service, Digitality Academy may, depending on the circumstances, provide an appropriate remedy.

Such remedy may include:

  • Continued access to the course where reasonably possible;
  • Access to an alternative or replacement course;
  • Extension of the customer’s access period;
  • A partial refund; or
  • A full refund.

Where a partial refund is considered appropriate, Digitality Academy may determine the amount based on factors including the period of access already received, course usage, the remaining access period, the circumstances of the course removal, and applicable law.

14. Instructor-Created Courses

Digitality Academy may host and sell courses created by independent third-party instructors.

Where an instructor-created course is discontinued because of instructor withdrawal, instructor termination, intellectual property concerns, regulatory concerns, legal issues, serious complaints, or other circumstances, Digitality Academy may determine the appropriate customer remedy based on the circumstances and applicable law.

Where reasonably possible, Digitality Academy may provide affected customers with continued access, replacement content, an alternative course, an access extension, or an appropriate refund.

15. Technical Problems and Access Issues

A customer should contact Digitality Academy promptly if the customer is unable to access a purchased course because of a technical problem.

Before requesting a refund solely because of an access issue, customers should provide Digitality Academy with a reasonable opportunity to investigate and resolve the problem.

Digitality Academy may attempt to restore access, correct technical errors, or provide an alternative means of accessing the purchased course.

Where a material access problem cannot reasonably be resolved, Digitality Academy may provide an appropriate remedy based on the circumstances and applicable law.

16. Duplicate Payments

If a customer is charged more than once for the same purchase due to a genuine duplicate transaction or payment processing error, Digitality Academy will take reasonable steps to identify and refund the duplicate payment, subject to verification.

Any refund will generally be processed through the original payment method where technically and legally possible.

17. Failed or Unsuccessful Transactions

If a payment is debited from a customer’s bank account or payment method but the corresponding order is not successfully created or the payment is not received by Digitality Academy, the customer should contact Digitality Academy with the relevant transaction details.

Digitality Academy may coordinate with the applicable payment gateway, bank, or payment service provider to verify the transaction and process any applicable reversal or refund.

Where a payment transaction fails due to a banking or payment-system issue, the applicable payment system’s rules and processing timelines may also apply.

18. Payment Gateway Charges and Other Permitted Deductions

Where a refund is approved, Digitality Academy may deduct or retain amounts only where such deductions are legally permissible and have been properly disclosed or arise from the applicable payment, tax, or transaction arrangements.

Digitality Academy will not use this provision to unlawfully defeat a customer’s statutory refund or consumer rights.

19. Refund Processing Time

Once a refund has been approved, Digitality Academy will initiate the refund through the applicable payment gateway or payment method.

Refund processing may take up to 14 business days from the date the refund is approved, depending on the payment gateway, bank, card issuer, payment method, and other external processing factors.

Digitality Academy is not responsible for additional delays caused solely by banks, payment gateways, card networks, or other third-party payment providers.

20. Refund Method

Refunds will generally be processed to the original payment method used for the purchase where the payment provider permits such refunds.

Where a refund to the original payment method is not technically or operationally possible, Digitality Academy may request appropriate bank or payment details from the customer for processing the refund.

Customers should provide accurate information when requested. Digitality Academy is not responsible for delays caused by incorrect or incomplete information supplied by the customer.

21. Access After Refund

Once a refund is approved and processed, Digitality Academy may revoke the customer’s access to the relevant course, course materials, community, bonuses, downloads, certificates, or other benefits associated with the refunded purchase.

The customer must cease using or accessing refunded course materials and must not retain, distribute, reproduce, or share such materials after the refund where continued access or use is no longer authorised.

22. Abuse of the Refund Policy

Digitality Academy reserves the right to investigate suspected abuse or manipulation of the refund system.

Examples may include, without limitation:

  • Repeatedly purchasing and refunding courses;
  • Creating multiple accounts to obtain repeated refunds;
  • Downloading course materials and subsequently requesting a refund;
  • Sharing account credentials or course materials;
  • Manipulating course progress or platform activity;
  • Using fraudulent payment methods;
  • Submitting knowingly false information in a refund request.

Where permitted by law, Digitality Academy may suspend or terminate an account involved in refund abuse and may take other appropriate action.

23. Chargebacks and Payment Disputes

Customers are encouraged to contact Digitality Academy before initiating a payment chargeback where the issue concerns course access, billing, refund eligibility, or another matter that Digitality Academy can reasonably investigate and resolve.

Nothing in this section prevents a customer from exercising any rights available under applicable law or applicable payment-system rules.

Where a payment is reversed through a chargeback or payment dispute, Digitality Academy may suspend access to the relevant course while the dispute is investigated.

24. Promotional Offers and Special Sales

Special promotional offers, discounts, launch offers, bundles, limited-time offers, lifetime-access offers, and other promotional purchases may have additional or different refund terms.

Where specific refund terms are displayed during a promotional offer or purchase process, those terms will apply to the extent permitted by applicable law.

A discount or promotional price does not by itself create a separate refund entitlement unless expressly stated.

25. Free Trials, Bonuses and Complimentary Access

Free trials, complimentary access, bonus materials, promotional resources, and other free benefits generally have no monetary refund value.

Where a paid purchase follows a free trial or promotional period, the refund eligibility of the paid purchase will be determined according to the applicable course refund terms.

26. Cancellation of Services or Live Sessions

Where a course includes live classes, workshops, mentoring sessions, webinars, consultations, or other scheduled services, cancellation and rescheduling may be subject to course-specific terms.

Digitality Academy may establish reasonable attendance, cancellation, and rescheduling requirements for such services.

Where Digitality Academy cancels a paid live session or service and does not provide a reasonable replacement, rescheduling option, or equivalent service, Digitality Academy may provide an appropriate remedy depending on the circumstances and applicable law.

27. Statutory Consumer Rights

Nothing in this Refund & Cancellation Policy is intended to exclude, restrict, or waive any consumer right, statutory remedy, or legal protection that cannot lawfully be excluded, restricted, or waived.

Where applicable law provides a customer with a right to a refund, cancellation, replacement, compensation, or another remedy beyond the terms of this Policy, the applicable legal requirement will prevail.

28. Changes to This Policy

Digitality Academy may update this Refund & Cancellation Policy from time to time to reflect changes in its business practices, courses, payment systems, technology, or applicable law.

The updated version will be published on the Digitality Academy website with a revised effective date.

The version applicable to a purchase will generally be the version presented to the customer at the time of purchase, subject to any mandatory legal changes that apply thereafter.
